Chelsea Elementary School has its own governing board. It is made up of an equal number of staff members and parents. The governing board (GB) plays a crucial role in determining a school’s direction and works in conjunction with the school principal.
The GB is responsible for approving and overseeing a variety of issues including educational projects and the implementation of school budgets, regulation and student supervision policies. The board is also involved in the choice of school textbooks and other instructional materials, as well as the selection process for the appointment of the school principal and confessional status.
At the Annual General Assembly on September 14th, 2023, Chelsea Elementary’s 2023-2024 governing board was formed.
Throughout the year, the GB will work together at the school level to provide guidance and make decisions that affect the life of the school. This includes voting on policies and overseeing the implementation of the school’s educational project, fundraisers, budget, school fees, and other such items. In addition to Principal Rosseel, the GB is comprised of the following elected parent and staff representatives:

As Parent Representatives, we are there to voice the concerns and viewpoint of the parents and caregivers of our students. Please feel free to reach out to anyone of the Parent Representatives throughout the year and we’d be more than happy to bring your concern or comment to the rest of the GB. You also have the opportunity to voice your comments directly at the Public Forum, which is a standing agenda item at all of our meetings.
